The Beauty of art in IT

May 16, 2023

Art is an important asset of our life, without which everything is dull and incomplete, still many people wrongly interpreted “art” and restrict it to just paper, pens, brushes. But what actually is- that imaginative skill whose aim is to beautify, attract attention, transmit emotions of love, horror, peace, anger, and show creativity and thoughts of the author. Many examples are available in various forms in different sectors such as – construction in form of buildings, movie directors in movie composition, dancers in their twists and turns, musicians in lyrics of songs, etc.

Wondering, what I mean art in the IT sector??

Modern times demand online access to trade, business, knowledge, entertainment, and eatables, increasing the demands of web applications and mobile apps. What the priority of web applications and apps is the UI i.e User Interface. The part where the user interacts with the application, regardless of whatever the technology is used behind. Every stage of UI development is being taken care of from client to designer to developer. Challenges in development lie in UI, which should be properly arranged and suited on all media screens such as mobile, tabs, laptops, and no bigger than that.

Elements of UI are actually a part of art with gradients, lines, color, form, texture, shape, text. Color, Theme is the crucial and foremost step for the UI development as it depicts the emotion of the whole application as bright and too dull colors is not a part of good UI, even text on UI should be very precise and easily understandable for user navigation throughout the website for which font-family and font size are considered the most. The more organized the elements of UI, the more easy is the user experience which ultimately increases the reach of the users. Each part of UI should have connected components and should have a clear meaning of your thoughts.

Think of yourself as a user mindset, and find out if the elements used can convey your emotion. If YES, then move to the development, otherwise, just stop and remember- “First Impression is the Last Impression“.

I think, now you can relate to what art in the IT sector means.
